CCC Expands System Integration Lab (SIL) Capacity and Streamlines Processes
We've been making some big changes to our System Integration Labs (SILS)
One of the most important milestones for a VIP In-Flight Entertainment and Cabin Management System from CCC is the System Integration Lab - where the custom system for each new client is setup, configured, and wired (just as it will be on the aircraft) at a lab inside of our headquarters in the Seattle, WA area. Once a system is setup in the SIL, we rigorously test every component, touchscreen, and switch panel to ensure that the system is ready for customer representatives and the completion center team to test in person.
Over the past year we have been working to improve internal processes across the company while also adding personnel, investing in equipment, and expanding our facilities – all of which allow us to focus in on the details leading into each System Integration Lab. Our recent SILs have seen the benefit of this improvement, with shorter durations and smoother testing.
In the past few weeks we have successfully completed SILs with some excellent partners in companies Lufthansa and Taeco. We successfully tested a Boeing BBJ system with Lufthansa that included many last minute changes and our teams still finishing full Systems Integration Testing in just 3 days! With Taeco we successfully tested an Airbus A319 system with custom graphics and a custom version of SkyShow with Chinese translations in 3 days.
Looking forward, we are continuing to improve on our success as we expand our production capacity and SIL space to accommodate the simultaneous completions of 2 wide body, 2 narrow body, and 5 helicopter systems. Look for more upcoming announcements and inside views of our progress on our Linkedin, Facebook, and Twitter pages and in our monthly emails.
